Everyone loves the Nuzzlefish!

Learn some fun facts about our cuddly nuzzlefish mascot, Nuzzles! Discovered in 202X̵̢͉̼̫̺͖̜̪͙͎̎̀ͅ, the nuzzlefish is Kailani’s 33rd documented creature. Measuring up to 2 ½ inches, these little guys are known for swimming up to divers and giving them a nuzzle, as it is their formal way of saying “Hello!”. Just like certain types of plankton, they emit bioluminescent light when their heart rates are elevated, which makes it hard for them to hide from predators in the dark. Otherwise, they like to passively roam about, looking for whatever plants they can munch on, such as kelp and moss. They’re also known to hide their young under seashells and use them as shelter.
